Ia Levin conducts the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester in the world premiere recording of his own arrangement of the Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Bach, Op. 81, written by Reger for the piano. Also Reger’s own arrangement of Bach’s chorale prelude O Mensch bewein dein Sunde Gross, and a brilliant rendition of the Boecklin Suite. These recordings were made as part of the Maximum Reger DVD-boxed set, but this is their first release as audio-only on CD.
